I am finishing this work, processing and editing. And definitely the worst part is editing because it is then when the battle starts between reason... and heart. I know I have a very peculiar "taste" as I always look for emotions that move the inside. I look for a 'slap on the face', something that goes directly to your senses... and it is in b&w where I usually find it. Now I have to face the conflict between pictures for sale or pictures for love.... So I'm doing both. The commercial ones as I need to earn a living, but also the personal ones.
Not long ago somebody told me to go with the love, to always show the work that better represents my style and always defend it through rain and snow, through thunder and lightning or whatever comes along as it just feels better to live your life as close to exactly what you want to do and what you are capable of doing.
Later I have to do a difficult editing. I think I will do it with my heart... and we'll see!

Yo pinto al óleo. A veces he pintado por encargo y otras para mi. Cuando lo hacía por dinero, normalmente pensaba en lo que quería el que pagaba. Normalmente el resultado no me gustaba.
Lo que pinto para mi es la parte que más me gusta, y no pueden ser vendidos. Son míos.
solo dos veces me ha ocurrido que lo que me encargaron y lo que me gusta coincidieron. En esos dos casos me dió mucha pena venderlos.
No se si a ti te pasa lo mismo.
Hmm te entiendo, pero en mi caso afortunadamente no es lo mismo, porque yo siempre me quedo con una copia de la fotografía, aunque solo sea en mis archivos. Lo que sí que me pasa y me da bastante rabia es que tengo trabajos que van a ser publicados y no "puedo" enseñar hasta que se publiquen...
Pero sí me pasa lo mismo que a ti en lo de que muchas veces el trabajo por encargo no me satisface porque me siento atada y limitada por los requisitos que me imponen. Intenta, igual que yo, ir "colando" tu visión. Quizás algún día solo te encarguen lo que de verdad te gusta hacer!
Espero tener algún día ocasión de ver tus pinturas al óleo :-)
I believe the photograph in black and white is one of the best that I have seen until now and might be perfectly published in any top fashion magazine.
Both the composition and the image treatment show a very personal maturity and a style that has not been made by chance as you demonstrate photo after photo.

Si, es distinto, la fotografia te permite quedarte con una copia, algo que en el óleo es imposible.
Me iba a cortar mi afro, lo llevo un poco largo, pero ahora cambio de opinión... es que esta chica se ve tan pero tan guapa que si puedo emular al menos el peinado me dará por satisfecha.

El pelo afro de esta chica es alucinante y su estética de lo más cargada de soul. Me encanta! y le favorecía un montón. Si tú lo tienes, no te lo cortes y lúcelo! porque es un peinado precioso...
