Located in what they call "the ghetto" and managed by Zolo, people come to this place to have their hair done. A place where people get relaxed, talk, laugh and share stories about the neighborhood with the always friendly and happy smile from Zolo and the sound of his music in the background.
Photo © 2008 Ana YturraldeBecause Zolo is a hairdresser but also a musician. He is one of the artists that will be seen in my upcoming exhibition with one of the lyrics of his songs. The lyrics talk about Aids. Unfortunately there are still lots of fears around this disease due to the incomprehension and the lack of information. And that makes africans to be afraid of even talking about it and reject HIV-positive people.

Los peluqueros con como psiquiatras y no se porqué se siente uno tan cómodo en las peluquerías.
Si además informa sobre el Sida para que la gente no tenga miedo, pues miel sobre hojuelas.
La verdad es que es bastante curioso ver con qué facilidad la mayoría de gente se deshinibe en sitios así...
Zolo y la mayoría de músicos utilizan sus canciones no solo como protesta sino también como concienciación sobre temas en los que existe una desinformación brutal (inmigración ilegal, sida y un largo etc...)

Por cierto, deberías ver la peli de Tim Burton, Sweeney Todd ya que menciones el tema barberos. Creo que te gustará :-D.
Me encanta Tim Burton! pero no he visto esa peli. Tengo tantas por ver.... Algún día de estos me meto en una burbuja y me regalo algo de tiempo, que ya va siendo hora...
